This 'sort of behavior' - to borrow a phrase from Kit Sutherland - is dangerous politics, because with each successive engagement, the retail price of hypocrisy is ratcheted upward, should one ever find one's self at the cash register paying retail for their own lesser moment. But knowing this doesn't require any special insight; admonishment that reportedly came from Jesus' own mouth more than two millennia ago has served to better advise those that would 'cast the first stone'.

it would ordinarily be nearly impossible for anyone to discover this fact, given the opacity of our Association's records. Perhaps part of the dogged determination to maintain that lack of transparency can be at least partially explained by its inherent ability to keep stones out of the hands of those upon whom one is frequently throwing stones downward onto from four floors above.

OMG!! Who bounces a check for $64???? I guess they were talking about themselves when they were spreading all those false rumors about my financial condition.
